50 for Colorado
Each month participants learn about a different segment of Colorado's economy. In January, the group has the opportunity to learn about the state of Colorado’s economy from Rich Wobbekind, Executive Director of the Business Research Division and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the University of Colorado Boulder. At a later session, participants don hard hats and emergency gear and descend almost one mile into the Henderson Mine to learn about the mining industry. Other economic sectors you will explore include the mountain resort industry, sports and recreation, military and defense, agriculture, healthcare and the arts.
