Distinguished Service Awards History
The Distinguished Alumni and Service Awards are the Leeds School's oldest tradition. Since 1971 over 80 people have been honored for their service to the school and their achievements in business. On October 30, 2009, ten individuals were recognized. Here are pictures from the awards!
2009 Awards
Leeds Service Award for Faculty – Sanjai Bhagat, Professor of Finance
Granted to a faculty member for exceptional service to the Leeds School of Business and for consistent and ongoing commitment to its programs, students, colleagues.
Leeds Burridge Center Service Award – C. Roderick O'Neil
Granted for exceptional service to the Burridge Center for Securities Analysis and Valuation and for distinction in finance.
Leeds Entrepreneurship Service Award – Sherri Leopard
Granted for exceptional service to the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship and its constituents and for distinction in entrepreneurship.
Leeds Real Estate Service Award – Bill Moore, '54
Granted for exceptional service to the Real Estate Center and its constituents and for distinction in the real estate community.
Leeds Service Award – John Fischer
Granted to a non-alumnus for sustained commitment, support and exceptional service to the Leeds School of Business, its students, its faculty and to the community.
Leeds Young Alumni Service Award – David Wolf, JD/MBA '01
Granted to alumni who graduated within the past ten years, for sustained commitment, support and exceptional service to the Leeds School of Business, the university and the community.
