Intra-University Transfer

Undergraduate students wishing to transfer to the Leeds School of Business from another college or school on the Boulder campus must do so through an Intra-University Transfer (IUT). Applicants are considered for admission on the basis of specified criteria. The school reserves the right to revise the IUT application process or admissions criteria when necessary.

Application Process

  • In order to apply to the Leeds School of Business, students must attend a mandatory IUT meeting. Applications will be distributed at these meetings, which are held in September and February.
  • You must have completed all prerequisites before applying. Your application will not be considered if you have prerequisite courses in progress.
  • For those students interested in learning the requirements for transfer into the Leeds School, but are not yet ready to apply, we will have informational meetings in October and November and March and April outlining the curriculum and making suggestions on how to keep track of your degree progress until you are admitted.

These meetings are mandatory for students needing information about the Leeds School; Business advisors are only able to see students who have attended one of these informational meetings. Meeting times are posted below as well as on fliers available from open option advisors and in the Leeds School Undergraduate Advising Office.
  • Applications are only accepted for the fall and spring semesters during the month prior to the deadlines: by October 1 for the spring semester and by March 1 for the fall semester.
  • A limited number of students is admitted each semester and will be notified of acceptance before registration begins for the following semester.
