December Recognition Ceremony
If you want to walk across the stage and have your name called, this is the ceremony to attend.

Note: This is not the University Commencement, which will be on Friday, December 18th at the
Coors Event Center. See the CU Commencement Web site for details.
| When: | Thursday, December 17th, 2009 at 5:00p.m. Note: Ceremony is usually one and a half to two hours long. |
| Where: | Macky Auditorium (See seating map below). Admission by ticket only. This includes children who will be sitting on adults' laps. Tickets will be distributed to graduates in early December. There are six tickets available per graduate. Graduates will be advised via their CU e-mail account about when they may pick up tickets. Tickets are free. If extra tickets are left over, we will release the extras approximately one week before the ceremony. |
| Graduation Announcements | Graduation announcements may be purchased in the University of Colorado Bookstore at the UMC. See http://www.cubookstore.com for more information. The degree is Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. |
Academic Regalia | For both the University Commencement Ceremony and the Leeds School of Business Recognition Ceremony, students should wear a cap and gown. Academic regalia may be purchased from the CU Bookstore in the UMC from now until commencement. However, there is a cost discount if cap and gown are purchased early. For more information about purchasing your cap and gown, visit the commencement website. |
| General Instructions | Students should meet at 3:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Eaton Humanities building. This building is across the street from Macky Auditorium to the southeast.
Wear your cap and gown and start with your tassel on the right side. Dress for possible inclement weather. You will have to carry your coat and other items as there are no accommodations for storage of personal items, so we recommend that you don't bring much with you.
Graduates should go to the check-in table in the lobby of Eaton Humanities (staff will be on hand to direct you where to go). At this table, you will receive a card with your name printed on it. During the ceremony, you will hand this card to the person announcing names as you walk across the stage. Once you have picked up your card, staff will direct you where to line up for the procession.
A professional photographer will be taking pictures of all graduates as they are presented with a diploma cover by the Dean. Proofs and ordering information will be sent to each graduate's permanent address by the photographer. |
Strollers | The Auditorium is fairly steep and there is no where to store stollers once seated. All stollers or bulky carriers will need to be left in the auditorium lobby. |
| Parking | ADA accessible parking is available; no arrangements are necessary. There will be parking attendants on hand at the gate to Macky Drive off of University Avenue to direct you. |
Limited Mobility Seating | No prior arrangements are necessary. Once you arrive at Macky, ushers will be on hand to direct you to the limited mobility seating area. All limited mobility patrons should arrive at the front doors or at the east door off the parking lot. The limited mobility seating areas are all on the main floor. |
