The Leeds Experience
The Right Ideas
The Leeds MBA program combines quality teaching of business fundamentals - accounting, finance, management, marketing and operations - with niche specializations like entrepreneurship and real estate. The MBA program provides students with a broad education in the foundations of business along with the ability to acquire a depth of knowledge in one or more specialty areas. Students find the Leeds MBA degree gives them the tools to act as highly adept managers who make profitable and sustainable business decisions.
The Right Place
The University of Colorado at Boulder has been a leader in business education for over a century. The Business School was founded in 1906 as the College of Commerce. Graduate programs, including the MBA program, were established in 1965. The school was renamed the Leeds School of Business in 2001 after a $35 million commitment to the University of Colorado at Boulder School of Business by Mr. Michael Leeds, former President and CEO of CMP Media, and his family. This generous gift is one of the ten largest commitments to a US business school and the largest private, non-corporate commitment ever received by the University of Colorado at Boulder. The new Koelbel Building, a LEED gold-certified award winning example of environmental stewardship (LEED is the industry standard for environmentally conscious building - not to be confused with the Leeds name for the business school) epitomizes the Leeds School's commitment to the future.
