Paul Nelson is a managing director at Clean Range Ventures, a Cleantech 2.0 venture capital firm based in Boulder, Colorado that capital efficiently aligns innovation and deployment. The firm’s investment strategy is designed to reduce capital requirements and time to market for portfolio companies by actively leveraging regional assets, targeting the best global markets and deployment partners, and applying a company building mentality to each investment.
Paul is also a senior advisor to the Center for Revolutionary Solar Photoconversion, a joint solar research center between NREL, CU, CSU, CSM and industry partners; a founding board member for the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association; and, a member of the advisory board for the CU Deming Center for Entrepreneurship. Prior roles include CEO of Blue Energy & Technologies, now part of NASDAQ traded Clean Energy Fuels. He holds a B.S. in Business-Finance, a B.A. in Chemistry and a research M.S. in Chemistry, all from the University of Colorado Boulder.
