Dave Rzasa

Mr. Rzasa has over 30 years experience in public and private technology and manufacturing companies. Since 2000 he has been the CEO and President of ASD Inc. (formerly Analytical Spectral Devices, Inc.) a private analytical instrumentation company. Under his leadership, ASD has achieved record growth resulting in the company receiving numerous awards, among them the Colorado Fast 50, the Inc. 5000, and the 2008 Governors Excellence in Exporting Award. Prior to ASD, Mr. Rzasa spent 17 years with Emerson (EMR) a Fortune 50 company, in the Process Control Group (formerly Rosemount Inc.) in a number of multinational executive positions such as President of Rosemount Analytical Inc., and Group General Manager for Europe. Other executive positions Mr. Rzasa has held include Chief Operating Officer with Three Five Systems Inc., a NYSE liquid crystal display designer and manufacturer, Vice President and General Manager of Digi International, a NASDAQ computer network company, and Senior Vice President with ADFlex Solutions Inc., a NASDAQ flexible circuit interconnect company.
Besides serving on ASD’s board of directors, Mr. Rzasa serves on the Board of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship for the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Association for Corporate Growth, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Rzasa has been instrumental in strategically redirecting the companies and businesses he has been an executive with, improving their new product developments, expanding global sales, and improving their profitability. His expertise includes strategic planning and implementation, international business, organizational development, acquisitions and their subsequent integration, and general management of technology based companies. His extensive industry experience includes process control instrumentation and automation for process oriented businesses, such as the petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, and mineral processing industries; analytical instrumentation for a wide variety of research and manufacturing organizations; and electronic custom engineered sub systems for the computer industry.
He earned his BS in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He holds a Certificate of Director Education from the NACD Corporate Directors Institute. Mr. Rzasa also holds three patents.
