Marc Silverman

Deming Center for Entrepreneurship

Marc Silverman is a managing partner of CoCap Group LLC, a seed-stage fund providing capital and hands-on mentorship to early-stage companies. CoCap Group invests primarily in companies involved in healthcare information technology.

He is a seasoned corporate executive with over twenty-five years experience in medical devices and healthcare information technology. He has conceived, developed and successfully brought to market a variety of medical devices and medical information technologies. His business experience includes large and small companies and startup endeavors. He is a savvy “bottom-line manager,” but is also highly regarded as a product design “visionary” and team builder. He is a successful entrepreneur, angel investor, and advisor.

He is active in the business communities of Boulder and Denver, and is involved in many civic organizations. He serves on the board of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is on the advisory board of the Metropolitan State College of Denver Center for Innovation. He has served as Chairman of Etown, a 501c3 nonprofit organization (Etown produces a weekly radio program broadcast to one million listeners containing live music and thoughtful discussion). He also sits on several corporate boards.

Mr. Silverman is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, The San Francisco Art Institute, and the Stanford University's School of Business Executive Program. He is a frequently requested guest speaker on business and technology topics.He is often asked to comment for the media, and has appeared on CNN, NBC, ABC, CNBC, CBS, (including “CBS This Morning” and the “Today” show), and various other local and national broadcast and print media. He was the keynote speaker for the annual 2008 Colorado Capital Conference.

Mr. Silverman is an avid bicyclist, skier and musician. He lives in Boulder with his wife, Francie, and their two dogs.
