Biography
David Cass comes to Leeds from the technology industry (Sun Microsystems, now Oracle) where he was an international strategy analyst. He served previously as an undergraduate adjunct professor in CU’s naval science department. David is also the founder of Uvize Inc., an education and technology company with a focus on academic planning tools for college students. He recently authored the book The Strategic Student: Successfully Transitioning from High School to College Academics.
David is a prior Navy officer who served as a helicopter pilot in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is still a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserves. David holds a BA in political science from Tulane University and an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder. He lives in Boulder with his wife, daughter, and golden retriever and enjoys skiing and mountain biking in his free time.
