Biography

Hui Chen is an assistant professor of accounting at the Leeds School of Business. Prior to joining Leeds, Professor Chen was a visiting assistant professor at Owen School of Management of Vanderbilt University. She earned her Ph.D in accounting from the University of Tennessee.

Professor Chen’s research interests include managerial incentive/contracting issues, accounting disclosure and government regulations. Her research mainly investigates the impact of accounting information on firm behavior, market competition and economic welfare.

Professor Chen teaches managerial accounting at undergraduate level and a research seminar in accounting theory at Ph.D level.
