The fundraiser for the Barney Ford Fellowship Fund, which enables the Leeds School of Business to build a more diverse graduate student population.
The Barney Ford Diversity Benefit is a fundraiser for the Barney Ford Fellowship Fund, which enables the Leeds School of Business to build a more diverse graduate student population. This event, organized by students in support of students, brings together MBA faculty and staff, current MBA students, alumni, and friends – all with the common goal of increasing scholarship funds for students. We hope that you value the importance of diversity as much as we do. Funds raised from the event are disbursed to MBA student scholarships.
On behalf of the Leeds MBA Association, the larger MBA student population, and the MBA Programs office, thank you to everyone who supported the 18th annual Barney Ford Diversity Event. The event was well attended and we had a nice variety of exciting auction items for guests to bid on.
Your generosity and support raised close to $8,000, all of which will directly contribute to the fellowship fund. Through your support, this event, which is organized by students in support of students, will make an immediate difference in how students experience the program, how the Leeds School of Business is able to support students, and how we can continue to connect with the larger community around us.
Your gift will help fund fellowships for our students, with the overall goal of building diversity into the MBA program and contributing to the strong sense of community we work hard to achieve. The event’s namesake, Barney Ford, was a successful businessman in Colorado, who was also very active in civic and educational causes. The Barney Ford Diversity Benefit is our way of establishing a tradition that serves to carry on his legacy.
Thank you for helping us to make the 18th annual event a success. We look forward to next year. Thank you for your support!
