Overview
The Business Library is named for University of Colorado alumnus William M. White (Class of 1933) whose family's support was instrumental in its founding. The Library Conference Room and Office Suite are named for Douglas H. Buck (Class of 1929) whose ongoing support has been very generous. The Library Reference Desk is named in memory of Janice L. Hanson, in a gift to the school from the Hanson family. The donors are Lyndon "Duke" Hanson, MBA '85, his brother Richard Douglas "Doug" Hanson, and their father L. Victor Hanson, Jr.
Collections
The library collections include study and research materials for management and administration, accounting, advertising, banking, finance, small business and entrepreneurship, marketing, and real estate. Also included are some works in the behavioral sciences, quantitative methodology, and economics.
The library also provides access to over 50 online databases including ABI/INFORM Global, Business Source Complete, Mergent Online, Business and Company Resource Center and Investext, LEXIS/NEXIS, Hoover’s Online, Standard and Poor’s NetAdvantage, the Wall Street Journal from its inception, ValueLine and many others. Articles from all the important business journals can be accessed in full text through these databases. Several include company information such as 10K and annual reports and investment analyses. Market research reports are available through Mintel and Frost & Sullivan.
