“We are now accepting applications from 2012 new first year students. Please fill out an interest application. We will match you with your mentor as soon as possible.

Mentors

Consider joining the Leeds Peer 2 Peer Mentoring program as a mentee! You will be assigned an upper-class Leeds mentor who will work with you the summer before you get on campus and the duration of your entire first semester. They'll give you helpful hints on how to do well in class, how to survive dorm food, how to not get lost on the Boulder bus system ... you get the drift. Your mentor will also help you get involved at Leeds and introduce you to their favorite Leeds staff and professors.

Mentor Profiles

Please take a look at our mentor profiles and list your top three choices for mentors. Keep in mind that this does not guarentee that you will get one of these mentors. We will try our best to make a good match between you and the mentor we assign you.

What to Expect

We will match you up with your mentor over the summer months. You can expect to hear from your mentor over the phone (so make sure you put the right phone number on your application). Feel free to ask your mentor all the questions you have right from the get-go. We all remember what it felt like to be in your shoes. There are NO dumb questions.

There are several different levels of involvement you can choose in this program (outlined on your interest form), from very low time commitment to joining a weekly cohort group run by a mentor and academic advisor. Choose the level that feels right to you!

Participation in the Peer 2 Peer program is totally voluntary, but if you're going to participate then we expect you to show up for meetings, return phone calls and to put effort into making your mentorship work! Your mentor will touch base with you once a week to check up on you and will meet with you 1:1 every month to answer questions and to help you stay on track your first semester.

Become a Mentor

The Peer 2 Peer Mentoring program is looking for sophomores, juniors and seniors who have a true desire to help out their fellow students. To apply to be a mentor please fill out an application. You will be contacted in February to come in for an interview with the director and members of the executive board.
