Catherine Milburn

Biography

Catherine was born in Panama, lived in Columbia, Chile and New York, and completed high school in Highland Falls, NY. She came to Colorado as a freshman at the University of Denver and completed undergraduate and graduate studies at CU with degrees in Sociology and Accounting/Finance. After graduate school, she worked as a CPA for a large national accounting firm and later in industry as CFO and VP of Finance and Operations. Catherine’s experience covers public and private companies, fundraising, investor relations, and operations in high growth and high tech environments. She was a recitation leader in BCOR 1010’s first year and since then, she transitioned from her job as CFO for an R&D company in the alternative energy market to recitation coordinator and now multi-course instructor at Leeds.

Catherine is married with two sons – Dallas (16) and Sean (19). She loves to ski, hike, bike, garden, and read and she often teaches skiing part-time in the winter.
