Biography
Jeremy Michels is a doctoral candidate in Accounting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, with majors in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management and a minor in Accounting. He holds his CPA license (inactive) in Minnesota. Jeremy worked as a senior consultant at Protiviti in Minneapolis prior to returning to academia to pursue his Ph.D.
Jeremy’s research focuses on how disclosures are used by market participants. Specifically, his work examines how characteristics of disclosure, such as verifiability, affect the usefulness of the disclosure.
