Biography
Tony Tong is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he teaches strategy courses at the Undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. levels.
Professor Tong’s research interests center around companies’ corporate strategy choices and their performance implications. Specific research topics studied include alliances and joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, foreign direct investment, and corporate innovation and patenting. His research in these areas has been published in several leading academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. He has been invited to present his research at academic conferences and business schools in Asia, Europe, and the United States. He has also organized several research panels and workshops in his professional conferences, as well as a mini-conference focused on strategy and entrepreneurship.
